Key Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Manager of Library
Services, the Library Clerk performs a variety of clerical duties in the
Health Sciences Library. Included are clerical duties in interlibrary
loans, circulation, acquisitions, and cataloguing areas of the library.
Qualifications: Grade XII Minimum of one year previous clerical
experience Clerical library experience is preferred Basic computer skills
(word processing, familiarity with Internet and InMagic/DG Text)
Demonstrated knowledge of library classification systems, medical
terminology and medical databases such as Medline and CINAHL Demonstrated
initiative and must be able to recognize the limits of job scope and refer
accordingly Must be able to lift/move books weighing 7-10 lbs on a daily
basis
Hours Of Work:
Long Assignment Full-time position; 70 hours bi-weekly
Monday - Friday; Day shifts
Beginning September 12, 2002 until September 5, 2003
Salary Range: Clerk 1A * 1B: $11.5334 - $13.5836 hourly $807.33 -
$950.85 bi-weekly (approx.) If you are currently in a Long or Short

This is a NSGEU Bargaining Unit Position. Preference will be given to
