Librarian

Eastern Counties Regional Library is seeking a librarian to head its public
services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Public Services
Librarian will be responsible for the library's seven branch libraries.
Duties include supervision of branch library staff, overseeing branch
operations and contributing to their development. The Public Services
Librarian will work closely with other members of the management team to
support and develop the integrated library system; develop  library
outreach services, programs and promotional activities; participate in
collection development, and  provide  reference services. As part of the
management team, the Public Services Librarian will participate in library
planning and development.

The Library is seeking an outgoing individual who enjoys working with
people, has an MLS degree and library experience. A driver's license is
required, experience in a supervisory capacity and knowledge of French are
definite assets.

Eastern Counties Regional Library headquarters are situated in Mulgrave,
Nova Scotia. The Library serves the counties of Inverness, Guysborough and
