The New Brunswick Community College - Saint John is seeking applications for
qualified and energetic individuals to fill the position of librarian.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, administering
and supervising the Library and Audio-Visual Center under the direction of
the Coordinator of Student Services.
The responsibilities will include but not limited to: the selection,
acquisition, cataloguing, and classification of print and non-print
materials, reference work with staff and students, and promotion of the
services offered by the Library and Audio-Visual Center. The duties also
include the preparation and administration of the Library budget and for
supervision of the Library staff
Candidates should possess a Masters degree in Library Science from a school
of Library Science recognized in Canada plus at least three years experience
in an automated library and supervisory experience. Preference may be given
to candidates who possess knowledge and experience in audio-visual services.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Salary: From $1,424 to $1,958 bi-weekly, depending upon qualifications and
