The federal Departments of Industry and Canadian Heritage are co-hosting a
national series of consultations on copyright reform. The sessions will
address questions raised in the "Consultation Paper on Digital Copyright
Issues", available online at http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/SSG/rp01099e.html.
Five full-day consultation sessions are being held in Halifax, Montreal,
Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. The date for the Halifax session is
Friday 8 March 2002.
These sessions are aimed at soliciting the views and concerns of the
community on issues identified in the discussion paper. All those who
have a direct interest in ongoing issues of copyright reform should plan to
attend.
