A Special Issue of the Canadian Journal of Remote Sensing [CJRS], Vol. 28,
No. 2, April 2002
This special journal issue features 18 full-length papers, research notes
and technical notes authored solely by women scientists in different

group and reflects no political statement, priorities or value-statement for
any group with common issue such as geography, sensor, acronym or gender.
This special issue is seen as a chance for additional networking and

women create, lead, support and collaborate with each other in scientific
research. Forwards have been provided from Canada (Assistant Deputy
Minister for Science at Fisheries and Oceans) from Europe (Nicole Dewandre,
