[with apologies for cross posting]
The Canadian Library Association announces the launch of its conference website for CLA 2002 set for Halifax, Nova Scotia (June 19-22, 2002). The theme of the conference is "Inventing Our Future." Please visit and bookmark http://www.cla.ca/conference/cla2002/.
While details on the conference program, preconference sessions, social events and tours are still in the planning stages, important information on travel and accomodations are available now. Its never too early to plan and we encourage you to support our official carrier and help CLA earn travel credits to offset its operating costs by quoting our Convention Number 006679.
Halifax will be a joint conference of CLA and the Atlantic Provinces Library Association (APLA). In a slightly different format, next year's conference program will be organized into streams that reflect the major issues facing the profession. The focus will be on bringing people from different types of libraries together to discuss the concerns that we share.
Make sure to bookmark the conference site, check back regularly and look for future announcements once the program and other events have been finalized.
See you for an exciting and informative event in Halifax that you cannot afford to miss!
