Book repair workshop
APLA and Carr McLean are pleased to present a free hands-on workshop on
practical book repair techniques. Howard Cassells of Carr McLean will be
the instructor. Howard will demonstrate and guide participants through
several different types of common book repair procedures. Participants
are invited to bring damaged books from their own libraries along with
their own pair of scissors. Other supplies will be provided.
This workshop will be presented on: Tues. Oct. 16 in the Library Seminar
Room at Colonel Gray High School in Charlottetown, P.E.I. from 9 a.m. to
12 noon and on: Wed. Oct. 17 in the Assembly Room (2nd floor) of the
Fredericton Public Library in Fredericton, N.B. from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The workshops are free but pre-registration is required and spaces are
