UNB Library Internship Positions
The University of New Brunswick Libraries (Fredericton) invite applications
for library internship opportunities for new library school graduates
interested in pursuing a career in academic libraries. The appointment will
be for a one-year term with the possibility for an extension of a second
year.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will assume a variety of
assignments appropriate for an introductory appointment. These assignments
could be located in any library unit or department depending on system needs
and the skills and abilities of the successful candidate.
Candidates will have graduated in 2000 or 2001 with an MLS from an
accredited library school. Appointment will be at the Librarian 1 Level
with a salary range of $33,770-$41,710.
The successful candidate will possess an enthusiastic service attitude; have
excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to change and a
variety of clients. Candidates will have solid information skills relating
both to traditional and electronic sources. Librarians are members of the
Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers.
