Yes, another week closer to APLA 2001, the snow is melting at a merry
rate, some trucks of potatoes have crossed the dear border and so
yes, life is good. The registration numbers just keep rising and
rising. This is going to be a good one folks and no, it is not too
late to register... To further help you plan your trip please see
the conference web site and the new Local Info section.
http://www.upei.ca/~apla/
The first section of this page contains links to web sites with
weather; travel info.; the Visitors' Guide; a few newspapers and
entertainment guides online; links to local libraries that you may
want to contact before, or visit during the conference; and links to
other PEI web sites which may be of interest, depending on how
fascinated you may be with our dear Isle...heck you may want to buy
land while you are here...everyone else does. The rest of the page
gives some info. on restaurants, recreation, entertainment, and
"practical stuff". Most of this section will be printed off and
included in your registration package.
For a refreshing take on Charlottetown restaurants and environs like
we have never seen before and may never see again, take a break
from life and death library decision-making and check out the "Simon
Says" section. It is most definitely worth the click of your mouse!
Please note another another new item on our home page (CLA Future)
which links to the information on the CLA - Writing the Future
session being held Sunday June 3rd at the Delta.
