Dear Colleagues,

I am sending this message to more than one listserv; my apologies for
cross-postings.

I am hoping to re-activate the CLA Collections Development Interest Group.
  It's too late to schedule anything for the forthcoming CLA conference in
Winnipeg, but CLA has assured me that they will include us in the Interest
Group breakfast meetings that take place early on Friday. Breakfast is
paid for by CLA.

I would be pleased to chat with anyone who shows up concerning possible
events for the the 2002 CLA conference, as well as ideas for keeping
collections development issues on the library horizon during the year:
listservs, regional events, seminars, etc.

This Interest Group has a modest amount of money, and we could also team
up with a sister Interest Group to co-sponsor a session in 2002. If any
of you belong to a sister group with whom we might partner, I would be
pleased to know about that too.
