St. Albert Public Library invites applications for the position of Adult
Services Department Head.  This is a senior management position reporting
to the Library Director, responsible for planning and directing the
operations of the Adult Services Department, including collection
development, reference service, internet training, programs, and community
outreach.

St. Albert is an attractive suburban City, population 52,000, adjacent to
the City of Edmonton.  The Library uses the Dynix/Epixtech automated
system, has an annual circulation of 675,000, a budget of $1.7 million and
employs a staff of 43 (26 FTE).

Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master of Library Science degree, successful management and
supervisory experience, experience with collection development, reference
service and automated library systems, microcomputer skills, strong
abilities in written and oral communication, good interpersonal skills and
a public service orientation.

Salary: $43,712 to $53,183 annually plus an excellent benefits package.
