Hi everybody, a professional development opportunity with the
Partnership. Please see the information below and respond to Liz Kerr
directly if this is of interest.
Thanks, Su
The Education Institute is an initiative of the Partnership: Canada's
Provincial and Territorial Library Associations. Every year, a program
of audio, web and on-line courses is offered to the library and
information community to contribute to personal and professional
learning. Policy creation, course development and marketing for the EI
is overseen by a Canada-wide committee comprised of the Continuing
Education representatives in each library association, working
cooperatively with Liz Kerr, Education Director, and The Partnership:
Presidents and Vice- Presidents of the library associations.
The Education Institute Committee is seeking a new Chair to succeed
current Chair, Trudy Amirault of the Nova Scotia Library Association.
The term is two years, with potential for renewal.

-- consults with the Education Director between meetings as required
-- acts as the committee's liaison when necessary i.e. on the
Certification Subcommittee

national EI Committee or have attended meetings of the Partnership
-- be interested in education, learning, and maintaining high
professional standards for library and information workers
