Poles Call for IFLA Action on Cuba

WARSAW, June 5, 2005 (Polish Librarians Association) - In advance of the
August conference of IFLA, a number of European library associations are
organizing to place Cuba on the agenda. A resolution of the Polish Librarians
Association congress, adopted unanimously except for three abstentions, denounced the
persecution of Cuba's independent librarians and calls on IFLA to take action.
